Where those files ever returned to the F.B.I.? I never heard in any of the newsreports.
The files remained at the FBI. Copies were sent to the White House Security Office, and at the end of the Clintoon Administration those files were "Presidential Papers" and carted off to the National Archives.
So, no, the files were never 'returned'.
