Unbelievable! Just when we think we have heard it all!
I have a strange feeling that all MSM mention of this case is suddenly going to go away.
Their star victim is looking less and less vulnerable all the time.
bttt
exactly
Another bump
How interesting
(1) THis "victim" I believe was the 18 year old out in California
(2) THe kid is suppose to be straight
(3) That email contained sex stugg
(4) talk of a prank
(5) Now talk of a bookdeal
(6) guy hires a DEFENSE attorney
Victim right(sacrc)
If conservatives keep digging, you are right, this will suddenly dry up as a newstory. The dirty tricks involved here surpass from all appearances even what happened in Rather which was singlely oriented around taking down a sitting President's re-election campaign. This involves 3 or four separate agendas.
It'll be like the last week never happened if these diligent bloggers keep up exposing them and the Dems move on to something else. The question is whether they've even got something to move onto, and if they don't, what will fill the sudden vaccum?
My guess? The President's speeches on Iraq which is precisely what the Libs were trying to get away from.
We'll end up circling right back to where we where, only with a more motivated base, and a couple weeks away from the election talking about the subject that doesn't play to their advantage.
Yes, and it's still fishy this "kid" now 21 ends up with a prominent position in a Governor's campaign. I'm not ruling out blackmail conceivably in some corner.
I am just hopeing that certain Republicans were not involved in Machavellian type behavior.
CNN has already dropped it like a hot potato. When I logged on to the internet tonight, my home page is Road Runner and they use CNN news.
NOT ONE PICTURE OF FOLEY; NOT ONE STORY ABOUT FOLEY .. LOL!
Egg on their faces again and still they never learn.
I was looking through the archives ("Wayback Machine") of their discussion group, and there were several announcements posted about a potential book deal back in 2003. The book was to be a history of the Congreassional Page program with interviews and anecdotes from participants through the years. If this is the same book deal they're discussing, and I think it is, it is in no way a "smoking gun."
However, there were something like 380 archived web pages from that discussion group, so anyone who had enough time on their hands might be able to go through all of them and find some interesting information. I went through about 20-30 pages of announcements and news and didsn't find any incriminating stories about Foley or anyone else. But that doesn't mean they aren't on there somewhere.
you left one out
7) Berkley Political Science Major
Unreal,...read all the way through the Macsmind blog on this....
OK...I'm confused...does this mean Foley is innocent, he DID NOT write inappropriate IMs or e-mails, that it is all a fabrication of the Democrats and the MSM? Or just that the recipient of one particular IM was legal age?
The main point is - forget party loyalties here - is Foley a pervert poof who tried to hookup with congressional pages, particularly underaged ones?
If he is, people need to quit pulling a Clintonesque nitpicking defense for him and let the sleazeball fry.
(And the defense of "The Democrats got away with it...it's hypocracy" don't fly. Studds was a perv poof...he should have went to prison, but that is history. We need to worry about today and tomorrow)
Foley is a gay Republican, he even has a partner and they have been photographed together..holding hands....What set this off was the allegation that Foley was after a 16yo. Turns out the 16yo was really 18 and he and some friends may have been baiting Foley...to have fun. The emails between Foley and Edmund the page where sat on for years. Now election time has rolled around and they have been made public from unknown sources. Now the Dems suddenly are for all sorts of Conservative style morals..Foley never had sex with the guy. The page has hired a high view criminal attorney...for what reason?
