The incorrect link leads to an article that I was hoping to add to the thread:

Road projects to trend toward private funding

Sorry about all that.

Do you have any info on the scale (comparatively) between this and other modern 'Eminent Domain' projects?

This is definitely more than just a few city blocks or a neighborhood.

I am aware. I was hoping that some industrious individual would have compiled a comparison to illustrate the extent of this.

I am industrious enough to show you a way of comparison without all the work.

How much land would be needed to widen I35 to gain the same capacity. Not only in area, but also in cost.

That would be interesting info to see what the next 50 years of expansion/growth will require in rail, pipeline, electric and other utilities eminent domain takings. Texas has major problems with rail transportation and is looking at some major projects to attempt to relieve the congestion. One study about the rail system can be reviewed at the following:

I was hoping for a link. Most of the ones that I googled looked like cartoon propaganda sites.

I can't direct you to such a place.

But, it still boils down to relativity. And this is why no one has proposed an alternative to TTC. While TTC will require an adequate amount of land, any alternative with the same capacity will require the same amount of land, if not more. And at a price that is higher.

Other than the original interstate system and lands taken for various reservoir projects, the total 4000 mile road system being contemplated for Texas, would be the largest *land grab* in modern history.

So the TTC at full completion/build out would come in 3rd so years down the road?

I am aware. Many are not. Just looking for more info.

Texas has 17 routes, totaling 3,233.45 miles of Interstate designated roadways...... So the TTC at its complete build out of 4,000 miles in some years in the future would have more road miles assuming the current Interstate system stays static.

The I69 is a federally designated Interstate Highway.

The alternative to TTC 35 is to widen I35, an interstate highway
