Foley thought the whole thing was real - just like those guys nabbed by DateLine NBC believe they are talking to an actual young girl who is interested in them.

Foley resigned because he was outed, and because even if he didn't do anything technically wrong, it was creepy as sh*t, and Republicans would not stand for it.

Foley is a CREEPAZOID, he WAS trolling for young men, even if he did nothing wrong in the trolling. Creepy piece of sh*t deserves what came to him.

Having said that, the Jordan story should have been checked out by the media, they, of course, dropped the ball BIG time.

Foley did make those IMs. The allegation here is that he was enticed into those coversations and the pages were actually straight guys enjoying a big joke.

Now the question is whether it was a joke gone bad, or a sting operation by moles in the page office.
