I really hate to comment much on this since there are so few facts established, but in my mind there's a lot more here than just a "prank." As Diddle E. Squat pointed out, this "prank" story only came out after Edmund had retained a high-priced, big-gun attorney. I think this Edmund kid may be looking at some serious legal trouble. I'm thinking of the blackmail variety.

We don't have a lot of facts to go on, do we? This whole story is breaking so fast and with so many different angles its become political origami.

What really needs to be explored and exposed is the timeline of this mess. Foley is GONE -- history -- and he should be. But what the media is probably doing now is gearing up for a big, fast shift if this story is true. They'll go straight from "Foley exposed by IMs" to "homphobic former page plotted to out longstanding gay congressman."

ABC and the liberal press is going to spin this, and hard. We'd all better be prepared to go from shock (here and now) to serious outrage.

I'm hoping this will damage the dems big time as well as the press, but hope springs eternal in spite of reality.

The other thing people should consider. IF true it just shattered the rhythm of the Democrat Attack machine was in. It just destroyed what ever follow up the Dem's were planning to keep the Oct Surprise running. NOW they got to come up with something else, and that gets harder. For a short time, probably up to the Election people are going to be a little gun shy about jumping on stories like this for fear of being burned.

Reality will set in when Edmond makes a press conference and spills the beans on just how much this really was a prank and just how much they ensnared a known "homo."

One page was on FNC and stated that everyone knew about Foley and that it was a joke with them and called him the 3 "F's" Foley the Fag from Florida!

This is more about gay bashing than about a homosexual Republican congressman!

Instead of awaiting for all of the facts to surface the Dems ran right out and found every Republican guilty of "pedophilia" calling Foley a filthy, disgusting homosexual praying on minors!

We now know that this page was 18 at the time, and is now 21.

All of the spin in the world is not going to change the reality - the Dems engaged in gay bashing in order to take down a Republican and gain an upper hand politically, never having the safety of the pages in mind whatsoever!
