Come on man! The whole thing is BS. The guy was an 18 year old adult. This is a non story other than a gay guy getting burned at the stake for having a sex chat with an 18 year old adult.

The IM's were from the 18yr old. The "overtly" friendly e-mails where the parents complained were to a 16yr. old boy.
Go back to the original story and don't let the Kool Aide blur your thoughts. The original story involved the overtly friendly e-mails prompting the boys parents to complain. The IM's came after the initial report. But, how can you defend the actions of a 52 yr old gay congressman sending sexual IM's to an 18 yr old. Just because the 18 yr. old was a consenting adult I expect more from our elected officials and even more from a Republican!

There were 2 sets of communications - emails to a 16 yo that were not at all sexual in nature but that the kids parents wasted stopped (and Foley was told to stop), and then there were the more recent IMs that are sexually explicit.
