You felt sorry for a pedophile?? Because even if he didn't *do the deed*, he was gearing up for an encounter with this page. He'd already invited either this page or another to his hotel room (according to one of the transcripts). And I don't care if the page was of legal age or not; he was still a teenager. Would you like your 18-year-old teenager to be having sex with a 52 year old man?
It's not right, I wouldn't like it, but he's not a pedophile. A predatory homosexual, that's what he is.
You need to look up the definition of a pedophile.

I too feel sorry for Foley. So shoot me. The man got duped by a couple of yuk-yuks who either did it for fun or somebody paid them. I think it's kind of mean.
But get a grip...if my kid, or anybody's kid, is EIGHTEEN, well no matter what I like, he or she can do what they want. Yeah I could withhold my vote from a middle-aged predator of 18 year olds but go with me here, homosexuals and young boys. Who would have thunk?
Gay day at Disney World. Homos lead the Boy Scouts. Ah. Kids. The tender flesh of youth. Monica and Bill. They use their congressional power to prey on the easily impressed. It happens all over the place.
If we've raised our kids right they'll have a clue when approached. Beyond that, well you've got to draw the line of demarcation at SOME age.
If we stick to our basic standards, to wit, rule of law, right of the accused to confront his accusers, evidence, etc. we'll be OK in this one.
So far no one has come up with a single instance of Foley having sex with anybody. For all you know his equipment doesn't work ~ too much drink will do that to you.
I trust he knew when it was time to check into rehab.
