CLAIM: FILTHY FOLEY ONLINE MESSAGES WERE PAGE PRANK GONE AWRY
**World Exclusive**
**Must Credit the DRUDGE REPORT**
According to two people close to former congressional page Jordan Edmund, the now famous lurid AOL Instant Message exchanges that led to the resignation of Mark Foley were part of an online prank that by mistake got into the hands of enemy political operatives, the DRUDGE REPORT can reveal.
According to one Oklahoma source who knows the former page very well, Edmund, a conservative Republican, goaded an unwitting Foley to type embarrassing comments that were then shared with a small group of young Hill politicos. The prank went awry when the saved IM sessions got into the hands of political operatives favorable to Democrats.
The primary source, an ally of Edmund, adamantly proclaims that the former page is not a homosexual. The prank scenario was confirmed by a second associate of Edmund. Both are fearful that their political careers will be affected if they are publicly brought into the matter.
The prank scenario only applies to the Edmund IM sessions and does not necessarily apply to any other exchanges between the former congressman and others.
The news come on the heels that Edmund has hired former Timothy McVeigh attorney, Stephen Jones.

WHere I heard what?
Nope; but McQueeg isn't going to be the GOP presidential candidate in '08.
FR is for adults? I apologize...I didn't see that in any of the policies of the site. If I missed it, please point me in the right direction where I can find it. The only thing I did find was the help page, which referred to FR as a "family" site.
I can see that a number of people disagree with me. That's alright. It might be a concept foreign to you, but I don't expect everyone to agree with me. I've had several members express their support for me -publically and privately- and some go even farther than I do.
I don't know how long you've been on FR, and truthfully it doesn't matter to me, but I wasn't aware that one's posts must be "good" enough in order to remain a member for however long its been. Who decides whether a poster's posts are "good" enough? Evidently, whoever it is has decided that my posts have been "good" enough to allow me to stay for even such a short ammount of time, and I'm fairly sure that I'll still be here tomorrow too.
You've gotten a tad agitated, so I guess that at least some of the things I've said have struck a nerve. I am a little curious as to why you're trying so hard to exile me. It seems to me that I have every right to post here that you do, and I have made no attempt to try to get you to shut up. I'm all for reasonable discussion of the topic at hand, but it seems that your posts to me have gone from discussing the topic to denigrating my reading and logic skills.
YOU are the one giving Dems control over our party. By going after every leader they have predetermined to bring down. Then you complain about Dem control of our Party to US, who are standing in their way. Troll or Dupe. One or the other.
I have enough for a couple so may be hollering later.
How does this guy know it was Foley signing on? And I saw him come on a different time.....it was about 1:45 pm EST. For about 20 seconds.....probably just enough time to turn on the invisibilty feature.
Your supper sounds so much better than mine. If there's any leftovers, could you toss them this way...
Thanks, PKM; great info.
Rupert has none of my money now.
I am now watching Iron Chef, and the secret ingredient is SQUID. Fox needs to know I would rather watch people cooking squid (ugh) than their lame news propaganda.
Hastert knew about the "Katrina" email..They asked he no longer contact their son and Foley was informed to no longer write him..There was no sex in those emails.
:)
Thanks for restating the facts! :-)
Definitely a PICKER!
Neither is the hildabeast.
You're a lousy father. Sorry, but you did ask for that and good for your wife, she should have punched you.
The post to which I assume you are refering says this:
"Second that. You should find the various arguments I've been in this evening... listening to Mr. "nopardons" you would think Foley was just a generally great guy."
Aside from my error in Mrs. Nopardon's gender (which I most sincerely apologize for), I'd like for you to point out where I accused her of saying he was a great guy. If you read the post, I state that by reading her posts to me, one might come away with the impression that Rep. Foley is a good guy. I've already done it once for someone else, but if you would like me to, I would be more than willing to reprint the posts from which I draw this conclusion.
um, pardon my ignorance, but who is CREW?
Very interesting. Is it worth it to pollute my TV with CNN just now or are they all done discussing this?
