Election Tool #3: What to do with a Terrorist

SEE HERE
The recent debate on the Terrorist Detainee Program is just too much. Democrats are convinced that our Constitutional rights are prescribed for the most vile nationless criminal that wants to kill us.

Tool # 3: "What to do with a Terrorist" is intended to provoke the basest of reactions with your friends and neighbors. It is simplistic but accurate.

From the very start, we had set up Gitmo as a Potemkin village to attract lawyers, politicals, and fools; but in reality using secret prisons overseas, the US should have engaged in practices fitting with today's technology.

Since the vast majority of prisoners are useless for information, we should have used them instead as tools for peace and democracy.

Imagine what we could have accomplished had we 'turned' hundreds of them into programmed assassins, to take out suicide killers and terrorist agents before they could strike?

The agitators, Imams and Mullahs, could be brainwashed with sermons of peace and non-violence, gradually steering their followers into less murderous activities. To help rather than to hurt. To be charitable and forgiving.

How wrong would that be? To permanently change the minds of those who preach the destruction of the world? To use killers to stop the killing?

If we set our minds to it, we could make a chamber into which we could put a terrorist, set up with feeding tubes, IVs, the full multimedia experience, and an EEG, and several days or a few weeks later, we would remove a human being who not only no longer wants to hurt or kill anything; but passionately wants to preserve and protect life, and teach others the values of peace, democracy and freedom.

And we could tell if he really means it, that we have purged any trace of violence or viciousness from his mind.

And for the real hard cases, a microchip implant that would help him for years to reinforce his new feelings, no matter what else happened to him in his life.

How wrong would that be?
