From what I am reading this morning, it sounds like the Democrats' little Foley IED has prematurely exploded, leading the media into a nasty little quagmire in the process. The supposed "minor" - wasn't; no crime occurred, and George Soros' fingerprints are all over the tip sheet that was dropped off at ABC News. This was a political operation from the start, and the more that becomes known about it, the more the Republican base will come back to the fold. Besides, if Congress wants to start peeking under the hem of the seamy side of life in DC, Democrat's have at least as much to fear as Republicans.

a sex scandal without sex, a child who was an adult....LOL!

Great lines.

Yeah, but of course when the wheels start to come off the scandal cart (like Plame-gate) the media simply moves on trying to find the next one. And the masses are left with months of "oh no, how outrageous" on the front page and a correction on the back page on day that nobody sees in their heads when they walk into the voting booth. Doesnt matter if the original scandal was nonsense, the damage gets done and no effort is ever made to undo it because the damage was the intended outcome in the first place.

The blogosphere has had some success at holding the MSM accountable (the fake memo) but I am still nervous. All the MSM reporting I see is still about a sexual predator, a 16 year old page, yadda yadda yadda.

ABC news is made to look like a fool, hyping a story beyond the facts at hand.

What a surprise, the October surprise is that the media is biased.

Very well put. My grandmother had a saying which, translated into English, goes "The more you stir this stuff the worse it smells."

CNBC?! Are they still on air?!

Barely. Kudlow and Cramer, separate shows, is all that keeps them going. And, mostly Cramer.

It seems to be an extremely high number, do you have a source for this, is there a precedent in Colorado elections that the absentee ballots were that high. In most States the absentee ballots are no more than 10% of the total vote.

That's the number we're expecting this year based on previous years. The number came from a party official.

Note in all of this and other "scandals" that the RATS cannot win on the issues; they can win only on personal invective and the politics of personal destruction.

This should be an immediate GOP talking point.

I can't tell you exactly but I heard it involves a) a trampoline, b) a bottle of vaseline, and c) a chicken.

LOL!!

I am concerned about the reach of the MSM, because I think it is still greater than that of the Alternative Major Media.

On the other hand, a word-of-mouth campaign begun through the internet and through churches can totally counteract MSM lies. It's just that it can be done only sparingly.

And the messages must be short, to the point, and memorable.

The most amazing spectacle to me was the San Francisco Chronical labeling a budding romance between two adult homosexuals as disgusting. I'm amazed a mob hasn't burned the publisher in effigy. Partisan politics trumps EVERYTHING.

"You didn’t see people resigning in disgrace for these kinds of scandals when the Democratic Party was in the majority"

lol. Beyond parody.

OK, new rules, we accept. Now wiretap every Dem in congress on suspicion of sexual impropriety, and give the tabloids real time feeds from their bedrooms.

Actually, the SF Comical article was what prompted me to first write this piece. With the recent revelations that the "kid" was an adult (among other tidbits) the article wrote itself.

I wish I had more time to work on it before it was published, but I was under a deadline and made it to the publisher with 8 minutes to spare.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment.

Cheers,

Truly excellent writing and summation.

I think Rove & Co. are letting the Dims and libmedia put their heads fully in the noose before yanking it tight. Fox News is just playing along for the time being, waiting for one of the libmedia to start breaking the real story.

Pajamas rule.

Did anybody see the hysterical Larry Kudlow on CNBC Wednesday at 5 PM.

Uh, nobody sees CNBC or MSNBC. They're good for laughs for us conservatives though.

We got a pretty good start this morning with the reports that Al-Qaeda's #1 fruit cake in Iraq was whacked yesterday, along with three of his top stooges.
