Upwards of 93 percent of Brits don't bathe often enough, and would be speaking German were it not for the Special Relationship.

Up until now, I presumed the Brits knew this and the French did not. Now it appears the Brits don't, either.

Pity.

"Conservatives" like Cameron may make that very difficult.

I also disagree with tossing irrelevant insults at this time. There are trends toward problems (subjective histories in front of agendas) that might possibly be corrected, and I think that we should be addressing those.

If someone were to take Cameron's place, do you believe that Tory policy would be different? I am guessing that he's working from the major influence of that Party (as our President does for Republicans).

What might a solution be? ...convincing political information from us, maybe?

Cameron is actually a descendant from Hanoverian royal line through William IV & a Mrs Jordan. An illegitimate line of descent BUT bastardy didn't hurt the first William ! Maybe Cameron claim the throne.

"Real snotty...and soooooo conducive to real conservative conversation."

Blair at under 30 percent, for being too close to America? Brits favoring Brussels over America for GWOT?

Precisely what I said was true. We saved their bloody rearends twice, yet they prefer Brussels today.

Why shouldn't I be snotty?

Many British Conservatives have opposed our GWOT efforts, simply because Blair was in accord with the US.

Dear truth_seeker,

Your "snottiness" is in order. My prediction for the Apocalypse? America, India, China, Israel -vs- the rest of the world.

I'm not too optimistic. I have been on a number of political and not-quite-political boards for some time, and each time when I see Americans refuting anti-Americanism, I would always see angry Britons come in and defend the anti-Americanism.

Oh well, maybe some day rain will finally stop.

Thanks for dropping by. Someone in the thread mentioned Tory leader Cameron. You might find the whole (but short) related thread very interesting.

'No turning back', Cameron tells Tories ["No turning back to the policies of the Thatcher era."]

England/Britain/UK falling to anti-American leftism/nationalism /Europeanism is very different from decaying of Canada or New Zealand into leftist irrelevance. It may no longer have the muscle it once had, but because a majority of today's leaders in 1/4 of the world were either born and grew up in then British colonial times, or grew up in the immediate post-colonial era at which British influence remained (and remain) strong, worldclass academia like the UCL, Oxbridge, Imperial College etc, and the BBC and British press enjoy unrivalled prestige and influence in the English-speaking and wider world, the leftist march of Britain will be a disaster for the world.

It would probably take a major crisis - maybe approaching a calamity - to achieve, but as the 21st century gets nastier, our best hope will be some kind of anglophone alliance, including India.

After seeing comment #14 (along with name calling from them toward me in other threads over the past few months), it's apparent that I made a mistake in arguing with you. And yes, daily bathing is more of a Mediterranean area and American activity.

It's sad, when satire stumbles over a truth and begins to decompose. We could send some civil engineers and plumbers, if you like.
