people aren't mad at Foley because he's gay, they're mad at him because he abused his power.

I haven't seen that he abused his power as a Congressman. His abuse of power was that of an adult trying to induce a sinful relationship with a minor.

I have been saying this for days on FR. The RATs have no idea how they will set the "Gay" movement back 20 years with the Foley War. It is hilarious. Bravo Jim!

I'm glad that most Americans aren't racist assholes like yourself.

You're an idjit. Race has nothing to do with it.

And for those of you who are too thick-skulled to get it: people aren't mad at Foley because he's gay, they're mad at him because he abused his power.

bzzzzt! Wrong answer again. People are mad at Foley because he may be a gay PREDATOR.

What did the dimocrats know and when did they know it? Why, if they are sooo concerned about the children did they wait until it was politically opportunistic before they disclosed what they alleged had known for so long?

Yeah, he's a gay predator. Again, it's the "predator" part of that that has most people angry.

And why won't you people debate? Why do you ban anyone who argues? Are your convictions that flimsy?

Unless they have repented. I suggest 10 years on "probation" socially. It is possible for them to be saved and repent. It is not heredity.

We must not end up banning repentant sinners from all employment (I know that this is not what you wrote but it can end up this way and essentially already has in many cases). We can force them into unlawful ways of making money and cause them to spiral into depression and hopelessness. This stress, pressure and social rejection can cause them to return to past evil ways. These past evil ways can cause more children to be hurt.

Even after 10 years I totally agree it would be wise to not let them into close situations with children. This would keep kids safe and also keep them out of temptation. We must forgive and love the repentant sinner for all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. Glory to God in The Highest! In our rush to do what is right let's not forget that He redeems. This is the heart of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Agreed, not all become true Christians. It is a tough subject.

The Dems aren't mad at him at all. They see it as a politcal blessing.

Well, call me "mean-spirited," but I'm beginning to suspect that the Dems might not be acting out of principle on this issue.

You see, Jim, they're special people. Really. For us, preying on 16-year-old boys is sleazy buggermongery, for them it's a blow - sorry, wrong word - for human freedom and dignity. Not that any senior Democrat would ever accept a Monica from his junior staffers, nossireeBubba. That would be wrong.

Maybe this will help restore the term "chickenhawk" to its original meaning - an adult homosexual on the prowl for underage boys. It's such a common phenomenon among the gay community they even had a nickname for the type. Foley's just one of many.

It's a good question to ask any Dem's who are using Foley in their campaign material.

I agree they see it as a political blessing but in order for them to appear 'credible' they have to pretend outrage and anger. Secretly they're grinning behind their sleeves like the Cheshire cat with the proverbial canary. Here's to hoping they end up with a rotweiller's tail instead of the canary.

You'll notice that Republicans will always get into trouble if they act like Democrats.
