Yeah, I'll believe it when I see the (forged) documents.

Can I tell the FBI not to investigate one of my kids accused of bank robbing because "I will handle it?"

This is just horse$hit.

If the FBI saw anything incriminating about the e-mails they would have conducted an investigation, and they would not allow the Congress to do the investigation in a criminal matter, that is against the LAW. This CBS story is so easy to destroy.

Mr.Blake YOCOM: (a page in 2003 and 2004) few of my close friends who were pages, you know, suspected that Congressman Foley was homosexual, but not necessarily--you know, we never suspected pedophilia out of Congressman Foley.

Foley is despicable but I'm confused here. IS MR Yocom an adult or is he a child?.

Saying "We can handle it" is interference with the FBI? Interference with the FBI would be withholding evidence or not cooperating, not indicating it was an internal matter with no evidence of criminality requiring FBI intervention. If the FBI felt they had a need to move on this, they could have. No one was stopping them. The House cannot prevent an executive branch function.

And by the way, was it "interference with the FBI" when House Democrats screamed about a raid on William Jefferson's office and went to court to stop it? Funny, the media had no problem with that.

Once it it obvious that the Dems knew what was going on for years the MSM will drop this like a Bad Habit.

I wouldn't count on this. It sounds like the issue was kept away from as many people as possible.

I predict this story will fizzle
in a couple of weeks.

The big mistake by the Dins is this may peak too
early unless there are extenuating circumstances.

I turned off the TV four days ago. And I have not read much about this Foley scandal. All I can say is the voters will see it this way in their little dimly lit brains.....

Republican = underage boys = pervert = disgusting = cover up = throw all the GOP bums out.

This means everything is FUBAR and the GOP will lose the house and possibly the senate.

Okay, be sure to stay home on election day and let Speaker Pelosi take over.

Overly friendly e-mails in the midst of a busy legislating session is not going to be something to easily catch the attention of a man as busy as the Speaker of the House. When you can show he knew of the IMs, then you have an argument. Until then, you're being played by the MSM.

I heard Dick Morris say on Hannity & Colmes that the reporter who broke this story also said that a Democrat leader also knew about the Foley IMs.

I wonder who that top Democrat is?

Overly friendly e-mails are not a crime. Bank robbery is. Small difference.

As I remember, it was mostly Hastert crying about the FBI being able to look at his documents.
