McCain was here in OK for a fundraiser. I was busy that night -- cannot remember what I was doing but no way was I going to spend $100 to hear John McCain. In fact, you would have had to pay me and I still wouldn't have gone.

...Matthew Loraditch, another former page and a friend of Jordan Edmund. BTW, this is the same Matthew Loraditch who was the former president of the Page Alumni Association and who said the pages were warned about Mark Foley. Yet when he was pressured for specifics, he backpedaled and said they weren't really warned about any member of Congress and were actually told to report anything that they believed to be inappropriate.
I don't think this guy is on the up and up either.

Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla., a member of the House ethics panel, said Foley's Internet exchanges "have every appearance of being criminal."
"If federal and state prosecutors determine he has committed a crime, he should be vigorously prosecuted," Cole said.
Cole and Rep. Dan Boren, D-Okla., also agreed the actions of others must be covered by any investigation. That's an excerpt from the Tulsa World at http://www.tulsaworld.com/NewsStory.asp?ID=061003_Ne_A5_Doubl46817
Rep. Ernest Istook called the Foley situation "sad and sick," adding that his office has not received any complaints from any Oklahoma page

Mmmm....victims do not hire top dollar defense attorneys.
I wonder how many players have had to change their stories when the FBI came knocking?

The House Ethics Committee is scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting this morning about the Foley matter.
Rep. Tom Cole, R-Moore, one of the 10 members of the committee, flew back to Washington on Wednesday for what he called an emergency meeting.
He said the committee today would not hear from witnesses but would set the parameters of the investigation.
Great googly moogly!

LOL! I have been talking to people that had the same impression of him as I did.
Should have elected Bob Sullivan as our candidate! :)

So... what do we know about the Californian campaign manager, Chip Englander? Might be worth digging around...

A network (ABC) source explains, messages with the young man and disgraced former Congressman Foley took place before and after the 18th birthday. The "before" ones may be innocuous, but referred-to briefly and quickly just for convenient smearing purposes. Stay tuned for further developments.

To: A Citizen Reporter
It was reported on the news that his office had no comment. They did report that FBI and the House Ethics Commission contacted Stephen Jones when I listened to the news repeat.
