What you paid in, and what you will collect are a huge discrepeancy. Your getting ALOT more than you paid in becuase benefits have grossly increased. Just because you did something, doesn't make it right. Social Security has always been a ponzi scheme which is nothing more than vote buying for corrupt politicos. My monthly SS amount is a little over $2K/month. If I had received a lump sum payment at age 65, based on what I paid into the system using a 5% annual % rate, the gummint would owe me $3.3 Million. You don't know anything about present value or you would never have made such a ridiculous and ignorant statement.
