Someone already pointed out that the current Islamofascist ideology IS reformed Islam. That is, by returning to a more fundamentalist and literal approach to the Koran, they have recreated the outlook of Muhammed and his original followers. That has been all against the rest of the world since the beginning.

If you read this carefully, it is actually very interesting piece (and actually pretty good- except for the cutting off the tongues part..)

He calles Bin Laden plain and worthless, and questions who made him so imprtant in the Islamic world.

It is Bin Laden and those like him who he says 'corrupt Islam' whose tongues he wants to hack off.

I agree. The Prince is saying that OBL is the reformer and the enemy. He then gives the fundie extremists a break by saying that OBL might be a Western plant.

This guy reminds me of a Hollywood elite that sits in an ivory tower in almost complete isolation and thinks everything is peachy keen in the world.
