Why would her parents care about that? If thats the case they should be overjoyed she found a guy to marry her and help raise her child. I find that unlikely though. She would be due in March or April if she had become pregnant before the wedding. If she is due in May, like they say, then there is no way she, or anyone, could have even known she was pregnant in early Aug., late July, assuming she was.
This reminds me of an interview with the late Carrol O'Connor who said that parents should come between their child and anyone trying to harm him no matter what the age. Of course, he had a legitimate cause regarding his son. Here I don't know.
