If they got married in the Temple - as the story says - they are both LDS
(thinking to self: Egad. what a lot of ignorance there still is about the Mormon Church.)
A couple notes, folks: The Mormon Church does not practice or allow polygamy and only church members can marry in the Temple
I was going to point that out but I see its been covered. Lots of ignorance about the Mormon church out there. Reminds me of the total ignorance about the Church of Christ when the Mary Winkler case was being discussed. By the way, in case anybody wondered what happened to Mrs. Winkler, she is living in McMinnville again, with some woman in town. She has a job at the local dry cleaners. She just wants to "get on with her life". I think she has forgotten one little incident in her life.
I admit I don't know that much about it, so perhaps you can clear up a question for me.
I know a lot of genealogical work is done in the Mormon Church, but people have told me that when a Mormon marries someone with other religious faiths in their family, they go back and "convert" the other family members after the fact.
This can't be true; it would be unbearably arrogant to do so. Right?
LOL!!!
They were awful nice about it...
And the priest (who knew we were going to attend) greeted my son in Latin...my son is in his 3rd year of Latin.
I only made one mistake...I didn't cover my head. It was a very traditional service and all the ladies had coverings on their heads but me. I bet they were thinking "Obviously, a Southern Baptist."
LOL!!!
