Target South Dakota!
Dear Prayer Warriors,
LIFE is on Gods heart for the nation right now. South Dakota is at the center of the heartbeat.
On 2-22-06 South Dakota lawmakers passed the most restrictive anti-abortion law in the nation SD HB 1215. It prohibits abortions in the state with only one exception the life of the mother. Governor Mike Rounds signed it into law on March 6, 2006. However, NARAL, Planned Parenthood, NOW and other liberal organizations have challenged the law. A local pro-abortion group gathered signatures to put Referendum 6 on the November 7th ballot. This referendum will seek to repeal the pro-life bill. The law has not taken effect due to this challenge.
We understand it is all out war politically, ideologically and spiritually speaking in South Dakota right now. Lou Engle has taken his Bound4Life group there to fast and pray. Other Christian leaders and groups, such as the National Right to Life are there as well. Abortion-rights activists are also on- site. We feel that this referendum must fail. Its passage and the striking down of South Dakotas anti-abortion law could mean the life- movement takes a giant step backward in the United States. This cannot happen! The Church must pray! And the Church in South Dakota must act! Striking down the referendum will mean affirmation of the anti-abortion law, which will embolden other states to draft and pass similar legislation. Louisiana has already begun to follow suit and is watching South Dakota carefully. Weve heard similar news from other states. The defeat of this referendum will be a giant step forward to reversing the curse of abortion Roe v. Wade released over our nation.
Interesting to note: Of all incumbents who voted for SD HB 1215 who had primary challengers, all won their partys nomination to go on to the general election in November. And, all incumbents who voted against HB 1215 who had a primary challenger were defeated. This was the case despite often much larger campaign budgets of the opponents of the bill. I think this is God talking!
What is the Lord Saying?
In June 2004, Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets on their prayer journey to all 50 states, came to South Dakota and gave the following declaration and directive in our state capital in Pierre, South Dakota:
If we dont get breakthrough in South Dakota, we dont get the nation. There is a strongman here and there is a stronghold here; but it is supposed to be key place for the nation. And if we dont get this dealt with, we dont get revival in America.South Dakotans are asking for our help. Today, we are again at a critical turning point in our nation and I ask that you join us in praying that indeed the truth would stand in South Dakota as prophesied and would come out of this state and become the law of the nation. Pray that abortion in our whole nation would be banned! I believe God has given us a prayer strategy to pray according to His will in this matter.I would say to you, not any would have thought I would have watched after South Dakota; but I say, my eye is upon you and from this place the nation will begin to be legislated.
There is something here that has to happen that is going to release the nation. Or there is a destiny here that God is about to bring forth for the nation; and if we dont get it here, the nation cant go into what God wants.
Pray for South Dakota:
Thank the Lord for Leslie Unruh and others at the grassroots level who have worked tirelessly and paid a great personal cost to see a culture of life established in the state of South Dakota. Thank the Lord for a state House and Senate that would be bold enough to take a legislative stand to stop abortion in their state. Thank the Lord for Governor Mike Rounds and his boldness to sign the bill into law. Pray that the Lord will give him favor and that he should be granted the influence to encourage other governors to act likewise across the nation!
We join those in South Dakota and pray as they have requested: We speak to every hindrance in our path and we stand in the ruling, reigning righteousness of Jesus Christ and in His Kingdom authority. We curse any attempt to overturn the law to ban abortion in South Dakota and to keep it from becoming the law of our nation. We command in Jesus Name, every hindrance and attempt to stop this legislation to be removed now!

Ms. Magazine is doing a story on "Women who are not ashamed for having had an abortion." I don't suppose they will add "Women who ARE ashamed" to the story.......
Abortion is murder. That's the story. I have a couple friends who did it, and although they say it's what they had to do at the time, they can't get past it.
Dutch and Chuck (I have met both of them at my church; they are awesome men of God!!) published a book (Releasing the Prophetic Destiny of a Nation) after going to all 50 states, and the quote they gave in the prayer alert was taken from that book. Of course, at the time no one knew (except our Father God) that South Dakota would become the swivel point, the fulcrum, for all the rest of America.
The book gives prayer directives for each of the 50 states. What is written here is only part of what they wrote regarding South Dakota.
South Dakota's motto is "Under God the People Rule."
Thanks Grammy. You do a great service for us all.

Thank you for sharing this - I didn't know this. I was born in S.D. (many years ago) but never really lived there much. My folks would take us there for summer vacations to visit relatives and I remember those relatives as being very hard working, thrifty, quiet people who were definitely the 'salt of the earth'. I will add this to my prayer list. Thank you.
Prayers for success in South Dakota. Prayers the infidel 'Rats don't capture Congress.
I don't buy the argument that women have to have abortions. I do empathize with women in difficult situations and am glad there are places such as Crisis Pregnancy Centers to help girls and women through the difficult time.
There IS help for those who have undergone this monstrous procedure and lived to regret it. This site offers true healing from the effects of abortion. Theophostic Prayer Ministry.
"Dakota" means "friendship" -- North and South Friendship. =) Here's another excerpt from their book.
"... South Dakota will become a very conspicuous high place of God in the earth"; a "conspicuous stronghold of the Lord Jesus. There are giants in this land, but God is going to transform this region that is belittled, trodden down, and disparaged, and make it a Hebron -- a place of friendship with God. [South Dakota is] going to be conspicuous because of the presence of the Lord."
Thank you for sharing this! Blessings.

On March 21, 2006, Oglala Sioux tribal president Cecilia Fire Thunder announced her intention to bring a women's health clinic to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, which would provide abortions in the event that the South Dakota abortion signed into law by South Dakota Governor Mike Rounds were to take effect.
On May 31, 2006, the Oglala Sioux tribal council unanimously voted to ban all abortions on the reservation, regardless of the circumstances (i.e. no provision in case of rape, incest, health of the mother). According to Indian Country Today, the ban also includes "the use of any drug that would prevent a pregnancy or abort a fetus the day after any sexual activity." The council also voted to suspend tribal president Cecilia Fire Thunder for 20 days pending an impeachment hearing.
A month after her suspension, on June 29, 2006, Fire Thunder was impeached from her duties as Tribal President. Six charges were made against Fire Thunder, the most topical being that she organized the aforementioned clinic outside of her authority as president and that she didn't consult with the council about the project and get their permission. Other charges were that Fire Thunder used the media, the U.S. Post Office and the Oglala Sioux Tribe to solicit funds for the clinic.
