Unfunded Pension Liabilities - UPL - is becoming a hidden political time bomb around the country. The Los Angeles Times ran a story on it the other day. As people worry about Social Security and their own retirement prospects, they're not going to be pleased to learn their own taxes will be increased and services cut to pay lavish benefits to government employees. And the problem will only get worse in the decades ahead and not just in San Diego.
