I thought many Freepers would be insterested in this US Navy news, and particularly, in this latest US aircraft carrier.

What a magnificent ship, thanks!!
p.s. I shudder to think that we'll have to name something after Bill Clinton...... and I don't want any US Navy personnel ever to have to serve in such a vessel...... maybe we could convert some old rickety freighter into a floating whorehouse for Democrat politicians, staffed by volunteers from Hollywood, the modeling industry, so-called "musicians" like Ashley Simpson, etc.....

Is this still in Norfolk? I was driving back from the Outer Banks a few weeks ago and wondered if the carrier in the distance was Bush.

Cool name, but in the Air Force, we have another name for this type of ship... "Target"
I bet my brother will be pleased, though. He's a Navy Carrier puke, served on the Nimitz, and the Constellation. It is a pretty thing, though! God Bless it, the folks who constructed it, and it's future crews.

Great article. I read about the U.S. Kennedys' problems and how they would be addressed. American sparkling wine though? Can't call it champagne unless it comes from Champagne I guess. Kind of like generic velcro is hook-and-loop or a band-aid is an adhesive strip.

Beautiful ship. Thanks for the post.
I wonder how long, if ever, it will be until the large aircraft carrier is obsolete.
Multiple small stealth ships carrying a smaller number of planes with VTOL (example one variant of Joint Strike Fighter) seem make a compelling case at least initially.

Does this mean that There's going to be a USS KLINTOON?
