I think it's obscene for certain people on this board to demand Hastert's head for not stoning Foley on the steps of the Capitol for the email exchange that was brought to their attention.
If Foley has in fact admitted the IMs are completely factual, then I want to know how old the victim was at the time and whether or not it was legally a crime. It needs to be pursued and if any adult had knowledge of it and didn't divulge it for partisan politcal purposes, they need to be identified as well.
"I want to know how old the victim was at the time and whether or not it was legally a crime"
It is not just an issue of age. Power and authority are also a factor such as an harassment situation involving a young women who starts to work in a law firm and senior partner asserts himself to try and impose an unwanted relationship. The same dynamic would be at play with a young page having to deal with a powerful Congressman. The age of consent may not be as important as some people are inclined to think.
