I knew nothing about this, despite living in the UK and watching the news. I only found out about it here on FR. Had you heard of this disturbance before this or did you do a search of the BBC only after hearing about it on FR?

It was mentioned on sky news this morning. I haven't watched bbc news today. IIRC, the story was linked from the BBC news homepage at one point, it is 24 hours old by now though. Despite the rather lurid headline that the local paper chose to give the story, it doesn't seem like a particularly major incident all in all.
