Joe seems to be making his hay these days by piling on the Republican Party.

More like he's trying to innoculate himself.

Wasn't Scarborough also a friend of Condit's?

Given the odd timing of Scarboro's retirement from Congress.

I don't want to hear from him, unless he has something to confess.

I have always felt that Scarborough didn't have what it takes to be a true Republican. His belly is yellow.

Rumors about Mark's homosexuality followed him from his first day in the House..."

I have an important question to pose for freepers. It sounds irreverent, but, I really want to know answers.

Does anyone know of any politician who has gay rumors swirling about him and they can say beyond a reasonable doubt that those rumors are false?

Over the years, I have generally come to believe that if it is rumoured that Mr. X is gay....then he's gay and it eventually comes out.

But I want to know if anyone has other experiences (not hunches, though: "I don't THINK he's gay....").

Speaking of dark underbellies (well, behindbellies)...

Somebody needs to ask Fox News why Ana Marie Cox (alias "Wonkette") is now a commentator on that network. She started her career by writing breathlessly and endlessly about the Washington, D.C., anal sex scene.

Classy. Very classy.

Now what was the final story on the dead girl found in Joe Scarborough's local congressional office?

I'm not sure what Joe means when he refers to DC's "dark side".

Scarborough makes me puke. Not only is he a weasel he looks like one. He has to pile on the GOP to please his MSNBC bosses.

Scarborough, shaddap already, okay? Nobody in the conservative movement listens to you anymore. You've shown your loyalties, so quit pretending to be a player.

The question I have is why did Joe and others allow this to be kept secret when they knew it could blow up in everyone's face? The voters have a right to know who they are voting for.

Though I had never broached the subject out of deference to him, I just wanted Mark to know it would come up and that he had better have a response ready. I also told him not to be surprised if the White House stepped in with a candidate like Mel Martinez to drive him from the race. Mark guaranteed me his friends in the Bush administration would never do such a thing. I don't know if they did. Perhaps you can ask Sen. Mel Martinez if I was correct next time you see him.

How do you explain the Republican party's attempts to get Foley into the '06 race in their attempts to knock Harris out? Don't be absolutely absurd Scarborough. Yes, the party bought Mel in on purpose but they did so to kick harris out of the running in '04. She agreed to wait till '06, then they tried again to remove her. That time Foley was one of many they were willing to use. He didn't step up to run.

Reading the first set of e-mails made me uneasy. My friends and I who knew Mark got on the phone and asked why he would ask a high school kid for a picture. Friday afternoon I saw the instant messages he sent to another student and realized that Mark was in big trouble.

Wow, you must be brilliant Joe.

I think Joe would be well served to keep quiet himself, not just his Dem friends. He didn't exactly exit Washington under the best circumstances.

I think Scarborough sold his soul to MSNBC when he went to work for them and does their bidding.

Joe Scarborough has become a pandering lunatic. He licks his finger - sticks it in the air - and then measures the wind for his position.

He is completely gutless.

Remember when he got his producer drunk to see if he would act like Mel Gibson? Well now - how about these ideas:

- Beat a woman to see if she is likely to kill her assailant.

- Give someone heroin to see if they want to jump off a bridge.

Get me drift.

THis is guy is an idiot - he is a classic MSNBC'er.

Loser

shut up Scarborough. The adults are in charge, and they're taking care of things. Quit enabling the RATS who are just trying to fan the flames.

Scarborough says he couldn't have foreseen this? What does it say about me if I could foresee years ago that Foley was a pervert? Or am I just a homophobe who stereotyped him because he talked like a girl?

I know Mark Foley. Mark Foley is a friend of mine. But in all my years working with him in Congress and on TV, I could have never foreseen this kind of scandal swirling around the friendly politician.

Excuse me...never? You guys were electoral classmates, your district was up the Gulf Coast from his, you spent eight years working in the House together, and you got not even a whiff of a rumor that the guy liked 'em a little young? Excuse me if I'm a bit skeptical that Florida politics is that big of a world.
