No, Turner made his money off of Turner Cable and CNN. I think he's worth $10 billion plus.
There is a line in the song "If I Were a Rich Man" from "Fiddler on the Roof" that seems appropriate here:
"...and it won't make one bit of difference if I'm right or if I'm wrong. When you're rich, they think you really know."
By his words, Mr. Turner renders himself irrelevant except to people who fawn over the wealthy.
