Personally, I don't care about the timing or who brought it to light, even if it was intended as ammunition against the Republicans as a whole.
If the guy is a slimeball, then he's a slimeball who needed to be booted out of office and his resignation is a good thing.
Just because the Dems don't have standards for their elected officials doesn't mean we shouldn't have standards for ours.
If these people knew about anything more than the "overly friendly" emails before now, then they were abetting a sexual predator for several months.
We have standards.
That's why he's gone.
But the fact he wasn't gone months-years ago because they wanted to fund an October Surprise is abhorrent and THAT should have you infuriated. That children were at risk longer then they should have been because they wanted to play politics is beneath contempt.
