Washing dishes is not a security threat unlike, say, coming across the border with the makings for a fertilizer bomb.

A pile of sleeper cells have been found in Canada. None in Mexico. The reason, obviously but ironically, is that Mexico has far stricter immigration laws.

So, yeah. Canada is a greater threat than Mexico. Build the wall in the north.

The Canadian authorities are competent and able to find sleeper cells. The Mexican authorities (especially local police) are as corrupt as the days down there are long, and couldn't find a sleeper cell if they tried. They can't stop gangs from killing newspaper reporters and other people who shed light on their shenanigans in Nuevo Laredo or other border cities. What makes you think they would be able to stop Al Qaeda from entering their country or crossing the border? Heck, the corrupt federales would probably help them cross.

Let's give them a complete pass for shirking their duties and walking off the job in the face of even the slightest hint of a threat.

Well, Sir Brainiac - you just nailed it yourself: protecting the border is neither their duty nor their job. They are not border guards but Customs and Immigration officers - in essence, bureaucrats in uniform. Protection of the border is the duty of the RCMP. So, before you mouth off, maybe you should read the policy manual first. Otherwise you look so strikingly stupid.

And as for CPWGs - they DON'T CARRY GUNS. It's been said about 20 times on various threads. I guess if you were in charge and they sent you out to stop a bunch of armed criminals but didn't give you a gun, you'd step into their way and say with a firm voice "You must not enter. They didn't give me a weapon but I hope that my superior brainpower will turn you around".

As I said, more reading, less mouthing off.

I don't think they could. The Canadians couldn't (it was US agents who caught the bomb guy).

There just seems to be a much more Jihad sympathetic population in Canada.

>>Canadians....These liberals? What rock have you been hiding under for the last 9 months?<<

9 months to undue decades of Liberalism ? !

And Canada always has been more Liberal (and Socialist) than the U.S.A

>>WTH are you trying to do here? Stop telling half truths, dammit! Conservatives support each other, beyond borders.

Get it?
<<

Yes I get it - -

It took years of legal wrangling to get him extradited, and many in Canadian authority did not want to handle him over to 'US' to face the death penalty .

Charles Ng was from born and raised in Hong Kong .
Leonard Lake was born here .

For such a sparsely populated country, Canada produces alot of its' own serial killers - - pretty nasty ones too .

Go read Harold Schector's:
A to Z Encyclopedia of Serial Killers

I have a lot more faith in the Canadian CSIS (the equivalent of our FBI counterterrorist agents) to stop terrorist plots before they happen than anyone stopping anything in Mexico. You simply don't hear about Stephen Harper's staff selling info to drug dealers or terrorists. But a senior Fox aide did just that. I do know that the CSIS isn't going to be helping terrorists do anything. I can't say that about the Mexican authorities - they are too corrupt too often. We simply disagree.

>>It's always been an UNDEFENDED border. <<

That is the problem ! ! ! ! ! ! !

More to the point, Canada does not care who uses their country to enter ours

This has been a serious problem going back to the Cold War years when Soviet Agents used the Canadian Border to enter the U.S. undetected .

Canada does not border any other country, landwise, except the US ~ ~ ~ ~ so those who enter Canada from anywhere else have the Canadian 'openess' to enter Canada by Air or Sea travel .
Anyone from any Third World Country could have gotten a tourist visa to enter Canada - - then scurry on down to ours . . .

Charles Ng

He didn't stay free for long up there, the Canadian authorities arrested him for.... shoplifting. Ole Chuckie (who, Wikipedia tells us, had a rough childhood) is now hanging out at San Quentin.

More to the point, Canada does not seem to care who uses their country to enter ours- at least until recently .

30,000 people emigrate from Canada to America per year-
obviously many of them are not native Canadians .

And this is just the 'legal immigration' .

>> guess criticizing something your neighbours do (which has no effect on y'alls) is a good way of taking the focus off your own problems like a senior members of your Gov't diddlin Pages and/or covering it up..
What a bunch of do-nothing perverts.
And to criticize anything we do or don't do on our borders is really a laugh when you consider what's happening on your southern border.
Some of you guys are way worse then any Liberal I've ever run across..
<<

Well Mr Canada, your first remark there is irrelevant to the subject we are discussing .

Second, we are thousands of times more effective on our Southern Border than your immigration service .

Can you really tell me, that if Mexico was on your southern border - - that if you Canadians did not have America between you and Latin America- The Third World - -
that you would survive even one week under the deluge of thousands of illegal aliens pouring across every week ?
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

As for pervs, your country produces more than its' fair share of Serial Killers .

A lot more !

If you are going to devolve into insults, I will have the Modie delete you from this thread - -

I did not specifically invite you here . .

He was indeed caught, caught after he was found hiding out in a shack by a couple of kids .

WIKIPEDIA, you are quoting them ? :-)

All serial killers had rough childhoods .

Eventually he (Ng) was extradited back to America .

>>Duh, Canadian customs agents don't check people leaving their country. US customs don't check people leaving the US.<<

But this guy bought his materials and made his plan in Canada .

This man should not have been in your country to begin with .

Anyone from any Muslim country can get enter Canada and apply for asylum and they will get it .

You Canadians are very generous as to whom can stay in Canada and who will be granted amnesty .

If you get insulting here, I will have the Modie remove you .

Quoting them because I found it amusing that anyone would think his rough childhood somehow excused what he had done.

Nonsense. Canada doesn't allow most people (even Americans) with criminal convictions to enter their country, and requires invitation letters for people from some countries. And just like the United States, Canada has an Advance Passenger Information program for incoming flights so that they can screen out prospective terrorists when they arrive on Canadian soil. That's far from free entry to Canada to all comers from the Third World.

I have drawn attention to this incident not as an indictment of Canada, but to draw attention to the vey weak attitudes that Canadians about this war on terrorism .

I am not saying that Canada is an 'Evil Country' - - - - - -
- - - - - just that you are to blaise about issues of third world immigration and border safety .

You have been insulated from the violence of third worlders for far too long .

You do not have Mexico and Central America to your south . .
