I thought about my grandkids, and what will happen politically when they are grown and I am gone. I decided to leave them a detailed explanation of what happened during the Clinton years and after the election of President Bush, especially after 9/11.
I have saved newspapers, magazines, DVD's, letters, and mailings. I also have my own recollections.
I am compiling this stuff into a big scrapbook which will explain what REALLY happened. It's all I can do.
What a fabulous idea and what a treasure for your family.
This is brilliant, Miss Marple. As "average" folks, we sometimes make the mistake of thinking what we can do is only a small thing. In reality, what you are doing is a great thing -- great in the serious sense of that word. You are leaving what amounts to a time capsule for your descendants, and it is a gift beyond price from you to them.
More of us should do something similar.

You know, Miss Marple, way back when Rintense started the Dose, I had the same thought. I planned to do a daily, or at least weekly, recording of just what was going on with the Democrats and what Dubya was doing for our country. I wanted it for my grandchildren. I didn't do it.
Now I hate myself.
Congratulations to you on your well-carried out plans. This country will be better off for your efforts.
