I think this is one of my all-time favorites of President and Mrs. Bush also. Great photo of them both.

As I said in an earlier reply, that photo is excellent on several levels. The lighting. The photographic quality. The composition. The intriguing expression on the President's face. How attractive both GWB and his Laura look.

It's a photo that should win awards, like a Pulitzer, but probably never will because the people who hand out such awards are mostly Leftists.

Something really intrigues me about that photo. I think it's the fact that President Bush is in focus with Mrs. Bush slightly out of focus in the background but very easily distinguishable. Artistically there's a message there. Something about it defines the role Laura has in Pres. Bush's life: not dominating his role as President as a former first lady did, but solidly there by his side, both looking forward together with purpose (not looking backward nor inward), while also companionably enjoying the joys they encounter on the whole journey.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into it, but I think that's one of the things defines true art: something that has a message for each viewer. :)
