Anyone who had doubts about Roger Waters' views on war, particularly justified warfare, never watched The Wall...wherein Roger paints a tapestry of odd thinking towards WWII. It's a wonder that Crazy Roger didn't add the song Why Can't We All Be At Peace As Lampshades For the Nazi War Machine to the double album/movie. I never could understand the connection between an artist's mental breakdown (Sid Barrett) and being a Nazi...and never will...unless Roger was unleashing some of his own mental bugaboos.

He was. He lost his dad in WWII so of course he must blame Churchhill, I guess. Certainly wasn't Lord Haw Haw's fault. < /sarc >

And the whole Nazi audience thing was Rog getting creeped out by the crowds at these huge arena rock shows. Comparing it to a Nazi rally. But then the crowds were coming to hear music, feel good times, relax, and maybe have sex with the girl they brought to the show or meet in the crowd.

NOW Roger is using his stage as a podium to spout extremist politics to mind-numbed audiences in an altered state (whether that be psychotropic drugs or a lulled sense from the pied piper effect of music). So NOW Roger is playing the part in his own Nuremberg Rally. Again, Roger Waters is PART of the problem in this world today.

And I like his music but loathe his politics. And won't be going to the show.
