I think we need a new expression for MSM story incubating.
Is there such a thing as "story red shirting?"
(redshirting in school sports is when you hold a player back in a grade to increase the number of years they are eligible. The youngers are about to be biologically bigger than other students in the same grade.)
Thus the MSM is able to "red shirt" a story to the politically opportune moment rather than reporting the story. This "red shirting" is unethical on ABC's part.
