TWO miles from the centre of Liverpool lies a street where no sane family would choose to live.
Among the 19 houses that make up Childers Street, a pack of young savages runs wild. Fearless, lawless and sowing misery with a careless abandon, their reign seems uncontested.
They shout, fight, steal, drink, vandalise, bully, urinate, abuse, litter and deal drugs. When they are bored they throw a brick through your window. Or through the window of a police car.
These feral teenagers from Europes future Capital of Culture are not, of course, unique. They have hooded cousins who roam the streets of deprived inner-city communities the length of Britain. What was different about this little no-go world was that after enduring years of intimidation one brave council house resident decided that enough was enough.
Now tell me Britain is not circling the drain. And yes, America is just a matter of years behind it.
What's a "yob"?
How quaint.
That's only the worst of their blunders. The police seem to be completely incompetent. One policeman was beaten up and lost part of his finger. Another had bricks thrown through the windows of his police car.
It seems evident that law enforcement has broken down completely if this kind of thing can happen. They can't protect citizens. Evidently they can't even manage to protect themselves.
A punk.
I believe in Great Britain, a "yob" is roughly the equivalent of a "yoot" over here.
They just don't make lawless punks the way they used to.
Well, close enough.
He noted one incident that resulted in a police officer being placed in fear of his safety and receiving hand injuries where he lost the top of his finger. A second reported incident left a fellow officer in shock after his patrol car was systematically attacked by several males who used bricks to smash the windows of the vehicle.
If the police have now been told, for safety reasons, not to visit the street alone at night, what hope is there for a 60-year-old woman?
Perhaps these children need a good spanking!!
With a baseball bat.
And private citizens are disarmed and forbidden to protect themselves or their property. It's become a nightmare scene right out of the movie ''Clockwork Orange.''
You see, It's not their fault. The violent video game manufacturers with their NEIGHBORHOOD DESTRUCTION UK 2K7 - Childers Street Edition are really to blame.
Or why not send in UN troops?

No doubt if the brave resident bought an illegal gun and started draining this cess-pool with a few well-placed shots to the heads of these yobs, that resident would end up with 20 years to life in a federal pen.
I hope not, but in many communities here, in our larger cities, they are already there. All of it being facilitated by the liberals who are in control of such places. These places need 'a sheriff in town' who would kick some ass and take names, but I'm afraid it isn't going to happen because of the liberals.
When good people fail to act.. this occurs... Just as terrorism during the Clinton admistration.
From: A dictionary of slang - [beginning with the letter] "Y" - Slang and colloquialisms of the UK....yob Noun. A lout or hooligan. Derived from the backslang of boy.
yobbo Noun. Meaning the same as 'yob'.
"No doubt if the brave resident bought an illegal gun and started draining this cess-pool with a few well-placed shots to the heads of these yobs, that resident would end up with 20 years to life in a federal pen."
Perhaps that good person should throw a brick at the "police" then they try to arrest them. That might straighten them out.
. . .what a waste; and a collosal travesty.
Yeh, but he'd be a local hero. And his actions might prompt implementation of new laws.
I think the British feel that if they fought the yobs they would thus be creating more of them, and they don't want more of them.
The good people on the street should hire an outside contractor to dispose of these trash.Maybe some former SAS type would freelance the job at a reasonable fee.
