Well, gambling one's own money away is their business.

Call me stupid, but my company had more than 1/2 Millions Dollars embezzled by an employee who was addicted to on line gaming. You'd be surprised at how many other companies have been hit by this kind of financial setback.
Prosecuted and the woman served five year in the pen.

For those who think these sites are fine for consenting adults, then let the porno and all the other deviate sites available on the Internet not be infringed upon. Freedom has moral and ethical components, IMHO.

All these incidents of the bad cases are stupid and have no bearing on this. How many times do we read about a teenager drinking, driving, and ending up dead. Or another teen walking into a high school and shooting a principal. We can cite all these examples till we are blue in our faces.

I'm really disappointed with this. I had wrote letters to both my Senators (Texas) a month ago expressing my opposition to banning online gambling. It is a farce and they all know it. They can't stop it... they only make it more difficult. So instead of using my credit card I have to go buy a phone card and then transfer the funds into my online account.

My view of this is that the political types are pandering and I hope they all pay for this pandering. If it wasn't pandering then they would outlaw ALL forms of internet gambling and while they are at it... shut down Las Vegas.
