[Now street gangs make multi millions on drugs that fund violence that kills thousands of innocent Americans every year, many of them children. If Walgreen's sold pot and heroin that would stop. Criminal profiteering from the black market is a reason not to ban things.]

I see where you are coming from now, lol. Try going to the Netherlands and then tell me drug legalization is a good idea.

I agree drugs are bad, but only for those who choose to use them. Thats why I never have. But let me tell you this. Until I went to college, it was easier to get pot than it was a 6 pack of beer. And i didn't' grow up in the ghetto, I grew in a Midwest upper middle class suburb. Why is it easier to get pot, because drug dealers are criminals, and will tell to a 14 year old no problem, but the Walgreen's clerk isn't a criminal, and won't even sell to an adult who is 20.5 years old. Make drugs legal 21 and up, the drug dealers disappear, and kids will find it much harder to buy drugs.

Banning drugs hurts those who aren't even involved, by letting gangs make millions and destroy neighborhoods with violence against its citizens.

BTW before Amsterdam made drugs legal the under 22 drug addict rate was a staggering 14%, its now 2%.

If we could magically declare drugs illegal, and they'd all disappear I'd be all for it, but we just punish those who use it anyway. Drugs are still cheaply available to anyone who seeks them. The WOD is a huge failure. But don't worry its good practice for when the feds declare the war on guns, or the war on fatty foods.
