Hello PayPal!
You do realize that by and large this is a website dedicated to Conservative thought and principles, don't you?
Paypall, Neteller etc.,,,, doesn't matter,, most of the poker sites have already started banning US players. I started pulling out cash from sites I play at last week.
Hey Alterboy,, It was me taking your non poker playing buddies money, not alqueda. They are losers just like YOU. Take your busibody butt back to church and get the log out of your eye before worrying about the splinter in mine.
PokerStars.net is still in business.
And I never play with real money there. Only the 'play' money tables.
I prefer my action at a live table where I can see my pigeons...er...opponents.
"Moreover, the purpose of law is to impose morality."
Maybe in a theocracy but in our republic the law was supposed to protect our rights.
I started at pokerstars. Play money. But for the real stuff you'll find me at 888.com or bodog. I'd rather be live but Biloxi is 2 hours away. Was there in july bidding on some work and stopped in at IP for a couple hours. Good night, picked up a few hundred. Actually I really enjoy my easy chair at home. Online there is much more action and easy payoffs. 10man and 4 table sit and go's are my fav's. Patience pays well. If you are at 888.com or bodog look me up.
I guess I'm lucky. I go away every weekend to my "Summer place by the lake". A large group of us regulars (30 or so) have a Texas Hold 'em tourney every couple of weeks. It' s a cheap buy in and it's lots of fun and good practice. I always get a seat at the final table and usually place in the top 3.
This is the definition of law: "1. a rule of conduct or procedure established by custom, agreement, or authority; 2. the body of rules and principles governing the affairs of a community and enforced by a political authority; a legal system."
In other words, the law limits conduct and, in effect, legislates morality. What are laws against murder, rape, theft, etc., except efforts by the community to impose a common morality upon all of its members?
Finally, gambling is not a constitutional or civil right.
Our only hope now is that the Supreme Court will rule it unconstitutional. But since there are no sexual perversions involved, I think the chances of that happening are very slim. Now if the law was entitled the "Anti-Internet Transvestite Strip-Poker Ban", then it would be a shoe-in to be ruled an unconsitutional infringement on free speech.
