Why do the work rules of that a private employer negotiates with its employees have to do with Fascism?

Fascist alert!

There were negotiations? I didn't think so.

Sure, it's not pure Fascism but I'm not sure it's not something worse. You may think you are exempt because you don't smoke but all an organization has to do is determine there is a behavior you DO partaticipate in that they don't like and you are out on your butt, too.

Because someone has the right to do something doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. That runs both ways.

I agree. It's not the state's ruling, it's private corporations.

My son is a college student and works at Outback. He often comments on how much less work the smoking employees do "because they are always taking smoke breaks."

Hate to say this because I know many of you are smokers, but drive by any office or factory and look at people taking "smoke breaks" while their fellow employees are working.
