What were Cantwell and Murray thinking? I guess Cantwell and Murray couldn't stomach criminalizing tunneling across the border into Washington. I guess they cruely just voted to stop American school kids from visiting Canada (and Canadians from shopping in the U.S.) without a passport after 2007 - there's no way the secure ID cards will be ready by then. The bill pushed back the implementation date until June 2009 and requires special rules for school trips. The heartless shrews want to stop school kids from playing sports in Canada and wreck the economy of Washington state's border towns.
