Anyway the US historian made an excellent statement at the end of the show summarizing the importance of this war in US history. It is amazing that it would take almost 160 years for people to realize the importance of such an event.

It is amazing that it would take almost 160 years for people to realize the importance of such an event. If you ever go to Mexico City, you need to go to Chepultepec Castle where the US army scaled the walls to end the war. The museum there has the flag flown by the Texian defenders of the Alamo.
