If we're gonna go to war with Mexico I'd like to see it be for a whole lot more than just a few hundred yard s wide strip of desert.How about providing "liberty" and "democracy" to oppressed people? If the economic issues can not be worked out, why do you have a problem with projecting the power of the USA into Mexico? Oh, that is correct. Mexico and Saudi Arabia are our friends and we can NEVER threaten them or imply that their governments are abject failures. Gotcha.

I think overthrow of the corrupt Mexican Government is a good reason to go to war, but it will never happen. OTOH, War for a tiny strip is land is silly.
