So instead of watching weather and news on those multicasts on digital broadcasts you can get a federally mandated "Heather has 2 Mommies".

"the commission is participating in a joint task force to study the link between TV and childhood obesity"

More bull$hit government programs to help you live your life "right".

And they even have a "task-force" to do a "study" that'll "prove" it.

While kids are watching all of that government-mandated programming, the FCC will also be watching to see how fat they get. At the urging of lawmakers, particularly Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.),

Notice how it doesn't say D-kan. it says R so just to review the smaller less intrusive government REPUBLICANS want the FCC (that does not have the constitutional authority to even exist) to not only mandate what is shown on TV they want to mandate spying by the federal government on the viewers of those government mandated programs

but what ever you do you should not ever vote Libertarian because as all of the brainwashed/dead cult of personality FReeper will tell you if you vote Libertarian the democrats will win and if that happens they will grow the federal government, increase spending on entitlements, violate the Constitution at every turn and spy on Americans and that would be different then what is going on now somehow.

I just wonder if the RNC supplies lubricant at all the voting booths for people that vote straight R or is it BYOV?

Libertarian ping.To be added or removed from my ping list freepmail me or post a message here

Sen. Sam Brownback (R-Kan.)

Lol...The Republicans have become the party of big government.
Here's a reminder of what a real Republican was:

“I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel old ones that do violence to the Constitution or that have failed their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is ``needed'' before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible. And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents "interests,'' I shall reply that I was informed that their main interest is liberty and that in that cause I am doing the very best I can.”...Barry Goldwater
