Saying he was "deeply sorry," Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL) resigned from Congress today, hours after ABC News questioned him about sexually explicit internet messages with current and former congressional pages under the age of 18.

A spokesman for Foley, the chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, said the congressman submitted his resignation in a letter late this afternoon to Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert.

And when a man rapes a girl that is just as sick! Not just when they like little boys, when they go after little girls it is just as wrong.

That would only work if he were a Democrat perv. Since he's got an R after his name, he's toast. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

Then my daughter married one, I was not permitted to see my first born's wedding, it was held in secret in the Temple and of coursse non-Mormons can foot the bills but not view the wedding.

It's a lovely, simple, chaste, and wholly reverent ceremony. Much more so than any other kind of wedding I have ever attended.

An LDS temple marriage cermeony costs absolutely nothing.

The wedding reception, which is open to everyone, costs whatever the parties decide to spend. Many couples hold the wedding reception in an LDS chapel, again at no cost for the use of the facility itself.

My wife and I were married at a total cost of about $600.

Pretty sweet deal.

The entire United States Congress is run by imbeciles.

...... run by compromised, miserable, worthless scumballs......... for the most part.

Then to his republican supporters, it was alright to be gay, but not gay with 16-18 year old boys. I guess he crossed a some line that his republican supporters could not accept. What a fool.

You know what chaps my hide - the fact that the leadership knew about this months ago and did nothing. He should have been pressured to resign "to spend time with family" or whatever and then a suitable replacement could have been moved in his place to run. The district leans right. Now it's lost to the RATS. Way to frickin go. Politicians are idiots. This is a chess game that needs to be thought out three steps ahead, always.

Ways he can still win an election:

Step 1: Convert to Democrat

Step 2: Move to Mass...

Of course the infiltration by homos into the priesthood has been used by the media to decimate the Catholic church and attack Christianity in general.

For any person that doesn't see the direct link between male homos and the rape of young boys; well, all I can say is you haven't lived in the San Fransicko area to witness what has gone on for 35 years.

I don't care how "lovely, simple, chaste and wholly reverent" the ceremony was, is or anything else. To exclude the entire family of the bride, her best friend since the age of 5, great grandmother who was 98 is not "lovely, simple, chaste and wholly reverent" it is just plane evil!

Read my response to 167 - excluding any non-Mormon, or non-Temple worthy person from attending such an event is not Christian, not "family oriented" it is evil.

It surely may have been "cheap" for you but to purchase the dress, etc. fly the bride over 2,000 for the "ceremony" should you see fit to call it that, and we had also given the couple a honeymoon trip to Hawaii that was a little late to get a refund for, we didn't consider that cheap - a cheap shot at the bow of "the family" yes, cheap no.

And then the media turns around and criticizes any effort to keep homos out of the priesthood. That's because being homo has nothing to do with being a pedophile. Right.
