Harris moves to Foleys district.

Jeb goes against Nelson.

R gets a two-fer.

If so, then good riddance to Foley. However, I am not buying the charges at face value. Until it can be confirmed that Foley was the one operating that AOL account, then I say innocent until proven guilty. Anyone could be operating that AOL account. And in today's "win at all cost" mentality among the Democrats, the possibility that this was some sort of "gotcha" cannot be dismissed. Have they been able to establish that Foley was indeed the owner of this account?

I'm not sure Harris could win there.

Isn't there some sort of residency requirement for this district?

Since I posted what I did, new allegations were posted about his IMs. His intentions look pretty clear.

Why are you blaming this situation on anything other than Foley? The hypocrite is cochairman of the House Caucus on missing and exploited children. Seems to have made children a major issue. One down. Fourteen more and we lose the House. Thanks Foley.

WASHINGTON - Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., submitted a letter of resignation from Congress on Friday in the wake of questions about e-mails he wrote a former male page, according to a congressional official.

IMHO: IF Foley was a Dem the MSM & DNC would be "Spinning" this so hard that if they were "hooked up to an electric generator" they would be able to power the entire eastern U.S.

Somebody on another thread suggested Jeb Bush could run for this seat.

I like that idea.

The only thing keeping him from a Sex Offender Registry is the fact he didn't get caught red handed.

The federal courts have said INTENT to live in the district is pretty much it.

You rent an appartment and "TA DA!" you are a resident.

Tommy Franks is in Tampa and did express some interest in the FL Senate race earlier in the year.

If he needs only to intend to be a West Palm resident I nominate the General.

What's that old capitol hill maxim? "Never get caught in bed with a live boy or a dead girl."

I believe that is a quote from former Louisiana Governor Edwin Edwards, who said that was the only way he would lose a particular election.
