The seat may not be done yet. I want to know who the replacement candidate will be. Tommy Franks could win, Joe Schmo Nobody will lose. The replacement candidate has to have a name that overpowers Foley's.

As for Foley, stick a fork in him 'cause he's done. If it's even half as bad as it appears, the man is a pervert and I don't want to be in a party in which he is a member.

I'll put it to you this way: Would you want to run under Foley's name on the ballot? Nobody but an idiot would do that, and an idiot can't win.

Foley's name will be poison on the ballot. This will spread through his district like wildfire, but his replacement's name will not spread as quickly.

Nobody with a prominent career in politics will want anything to do with this election, especially if Foley's name remains on the ballot, which it seems Florida law requires.

That district is lost. Better to put money into a district that is a close call than to waste it on this one. It's a hopeless case.
