I read it and don't really know what to think. It might be creepy and suspicious or it could be innocent and naive.
I would not put anything past the dems however. If Foley is a perv, he needs to do more than resign...he needs to be prosecuted and what makes this suspicious is that there is nothing here to prosecute..just crap thrown up to see if it sticks in people's minds right before an election.
The e-mail snippets are not in the least bit incriminating. Male friends say far worse to each other everyday. As for the idea that the other messages contain some dirty stuff, fine, let them prove it.
Even if the guy's gay or effeminate, as it sounds like he could be based on the way he writes, that doesn't make him a pedophile or a criminal.
At this point in time, I think people are reading far too much into this. If he's really a pedophile and not just someone who will get false accusations and possibly false legal charges thrown at him for political reasons, then yes, lock him away and let the Bubbas take care of him, but we should remember that sometimes small talk is just that, small talk.
