It's a joke, he's been saying it for years, and years.
NM: State GOP Sues Over Ballot Decisions
The Albuquerque Tribune (9/28, Nash) reports, "Democrat Hector Balderas' name is on the ballot being printed for the Nov. 7 election, but the state Republican Party is suing to erase it from the state auditor column.
The GOP also has filed a lawsuit in state District Court in Santa Fe to put on the ballot two would-be candidates for other offices that it says were wrongfully kept off by the Secretary of State's Office." State GOP Executive Director Marta Kramer accused Atty. Gen. Patricia Madrid (D) and Secretary of State Rebecca Vigil-Giron (D) of "re-writing election law to favor their own political party."
The lawsuit was filed "on behalf of Roger Gonzales, who wants to run for Balderas' House seat in northern New Mexico, and Barbara V. Johnson, who wants to be a judge in the Second Judicial District. The GOP says both were selected by the party and qualified to be on the ballot."
Also "the Republicans say Jeff Armijo, who won the Democratic primary race to become the official Democratic auditor candidate, missed the deadline to withdraw by one day. Because he didn't withdraw in time, no vacancy existed for the party to fill, they say. The Democrat Party's Central Committee chose Balderas as its candidate to replace Armijo on the ballot."
