Having said that, you can buy a lot of other hardware and training with the money that just one of these airplanes will cost over its entire life cycle.
But, we cannot have it all, especially when we have to float our national debt in the international financial markets so China can bid on it. China has already started to say, enough. We must never put our country in a position that we depend on a potential enemy to fund our warfare-welfare State.

We do not spend enough on our military....the budget needs to be increased by double,,,at least 5% of GDP...
C-17's are needed...more troops are needed....more carriers are needed...
The one complaint that seems valid to me regarding Rumsfeld is that he is holding down the budget too much....course that is what Bush wants him to do...
