We have to be honest and face facts. Nelson is VERY well seated and has the option of phoning in this race from a vaction spot in the bahamas. It is his to loose.

So tell me why did Nelson hastily agree to debate her then. Or why the minute she won the primary, Nelson attended a fundraiser at some lib's residence.

I think Nelson is concerned because he knows that all of the FL media hit pieces on Harris has energized conservatives, plus the fact that top Republicans are now going to bat for her.

I hope you are correct. I will be voting for her.

I think he accepted fast to show he has no fear of her and the clip any "he will not debate me" commercials.

By bending like the willow he takes away any media exposure opportunities.

addendum: Look at it from Nelson's advantage. What does he have to gain by debating her. By agreeing quickly he eliminates any build up.

He eliminates any "will there be debates" anticipation.

This keeps the PR down, and since few will watch the debates then few will be swayed by them.

Now it just comes to her performance.

She needs face time in front of the cameras. She can use the recent Massachusets decision legalizing homosexual marriage in RI (yes I know it is a bit confusing but it just happened b/c two RI homosexuals went to Mass and a judge said they could marry in Mass.) To say she supports the Federal Marriage Amendment. She could blast the civil unions BS.

She has to have a very PUBLIC take no prisoners, no redeployment surrender attitude.
