(That's one of the reasons I moved back "home".)
Prayers sent for the family and friends of Officer Williams.
Although I did not personally know the murdered LEO, my neighbors, and/or their relatives did.
Lakeland, Polk County, Florida is a community united in support of our local and state LEOs action in this matter.
We mourn the death of one of our best, and consider the death of the cop killing criminal, justice served.

I read about that. The Sheriff basically said that they ran out of ammunition, or they would have shot him even more.

That is NOT ALL THERE's LEFT TO DO!!!!
Williams was the brother of a friend of mine and there needs to be many things done and improved in his honor. he gave his life for his duty and more needs to be done than set up a lame-o monument and forget about the whole thing. Williams will be remembered in action, and honored in action. I've seen alot of police officers around Lakeland looking somber, but still doing their duty. Our society needs cleaned up. He didn't die to protect it in vain. There's always more we can all do.

I hope his family is ok...I live about 10-15 minutes where this occurred. Do you know if a fund has been setup for the family?
The community lost a true servant.
