I found out from my ex that her dad was also a good friend, got him interested in the K9 unit.

her dad just retired 2 weeks ago though. sad news, but I'm glad they got the killer.

I bet the guy is an illegal alien because they still haven't said anything except that he had a bunch of aliases and they also said "he had no home". If he's an illegal, they may not say because it might hurt the mccain wing of the party who wants to give the country to illegals.

You get no gripe from me for your sentiments. No need to waste any pity on the bastard. His actions, and his alone, bought him a one-way ticket to Hell.

$ .35 FOR A BULLET as opposed to hundreds of thousands of dollars for a trial and incarceration.

Probably over a million for a capital case. Good riddence.

Prayers for the late deputy and his family.

If the dirtbag `had no home' then why are there known family members?

Watch out for a wrongful death suit from the latter.

Judd also said a notebook filled with what appeared to be drug transactions was found in the gunman's car, and he vowed to track down any drug dealers involved with him. "I want the people who have dealt drugs with him — this is not over," Judd told reporters. "We're coming after you next and we're going to put you in jail. We're not just stopping with the seizure of the deputy's killer. We're gonna track down this narcotics group and see that they're all arrested, too."

I hope they nail them all, and they spend a long long time behind bars.

Wrongful Death suit? That should be laughed out before it hits the inside of a courtroom. When you raise a hand with a 45cal handgun in it, and you are the prime suspect in the death of a law enforcement officer, you'd better expect to get shot to death.

Shot to wound. They could have shot to wound. /s

Perhaps they aimed for some non-vital area of his body, but he jumped up into the bullets? /s

Prayers for the family of this brave officer, and for his friends as well.

It was reported locally that the dead officer's wife's birthday was the day he was shot and killed.

Lord, no. That is one of the most tragic things I've ever heard. Double prayers for this woman.

I misunderstood the details when they came on the news.

I thought the Sheriff said God will be his Judge and Jury and he is dead due to an Oak Tree falling on him when he tried to hide.

First thought was divine intervention.

I now know that he was hiding and they came right up on top of his hiding spot and then he was shot dead still holding the murdered Deputies gun in his hand.

So God still will be the Judge and Jury in this case.

You said you hope he spent his last few hours in fear.......

What about where he may be for eternity.
In agony.

Ya know what has been frustrating on these breaking horrid stories the last week?

They always say the name of the County but you have to listen real closely to find out which State.

Polk County and then the name of the State would be nice.

If they can run ticker captions all day ya think they could take the time to put the name of the State up after the name of the county.

Does anyone know why all the States share the same name and county names?

Depending on where you live I don't see anything PC about that.
It could have just as easily been a White Man with Dreadlocks.
Have you seen Axel Rose lately?

Closed Casket?

Not if no one claims the body.

If he was a drug runner highly unlikely any of his buddies will.

I've run into that quite a bit myself. Not only are today's "journalists" arrogant, openly biased and amoral, they're lazy and illiterate and incompetent as well.

I just heard more details on the news. They've got a name on Deputy Williams' murderer now - Angilo Freeland. Freeland shot Deputy Williams eight times, in the head, spine and legs. He shot the K-9, Diogi, once. The officers on the manhunt hit Freeland 68 times after he brandished Williams' gun at them.
