Woodward's book is published by Simon & Schuster, which last time I checked was owned by Viacom. This free PR for a major competitor is mighty neighborly of MSNBC...

Woodward claims there is an attack on US troops every 15 minutes but he's purposely trying to deceive readers because it's incidents every 15 minutes throughout Iraq, not just American troops, and it includes single shots from just street thugs. Funny thing about how this is reported since in America there is a violent crime every 6 minutes.

Where have these fruitcakes been, some of US are very well aware we are at war? Seems as though this is just another facet of their plotted and planned reenactment of Vietnam... a daily body count.

Detail Detail Details! We can't be bothered by these silly little details, not when there's the Cheney/Bush/Rove/Rumsfeld/Halliburton war machine to defeat.

I was listening to a segment on WTOP (DC area) this morning and the guy they were interviewing (Face the Nation - CBS) was positively giddy about the timing of the release of this book. They don't even bother to disguise their biases anymore.

Speaking of body counts did you see this?

Iraq terror leader recruits scientists (Al-Qaida in Iraq: 4,000 insurgents dead)

CAIRO, Egypt - The new leader of al-Qaida in Iraq said in an audio message posted on a Web site Thursday that more than 4,000 foreign insurgent fighters have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. It was believed to be the first major statement from insurgents in Iraq about their losses.

"The blood has been spilled in Iraq of more than 4,000 foreigners who came to fight," said the man, who identified himself as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir - also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri - the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq. The voice could not be independently identified.

No, but he's seen Band Of Brothers...twice. And that's almost the samething.

While most of us mourn the loss of life of every US troop killed we have to be honest about this war. Historically for war this is a very low loss of life and if our troops were attacked every 15 minutes it would result in far more deaths than has been accumulated thus far.

Yes I did see it and it was all over Fox News last night. Now it just would not be politically correct for these liberals to have only one side counting bodies.

I had to wonder about such a coincidence coming to light at the very same time.....

Wow, 60 Minutes pimping a Bush hit piece just weeks before an election.

I'm getting a strange sense of déjà vu.

Well .. the dems keep beating the same dead horse .. Bush lied .. but now that Bubba has blown up and the Path to 9/11 has exposed more of the truth .. they've changed their message to Bush's "deception".

What deception ..?? The terrorists didn't really want to kill us ..??

WE MUST GET MORE OF THESE HORRIBLE DEMS OUT OF OFFICE. THEY ARE GOING TO CAUSE THE ENEMY TO BELIEVE WE ARE TOO WEAK TO DEFEND OURSELVES.

Since the book was probably completed in June, (just a guess) how are the facts and figures reflective of what's happening in Iraq now?

This has nothing to do with Dems in office, they are harmless.

THIS IS MEDIA PROPAGANDA.

The MSM are much more powerful than Dems, they run our pols, policies, culture, courts, education, wars, the write history, they promote health, science and environmental scams, and have for 40 years.

ABCCBSNBCCNNMSNBCNPRPBSNYTWPNEWSWEEKTIMELAT...........

These are political orgs who shape our country, run our moods and opinions.

I keep pointing to people
Antietam/Sharpsburg Casualties: 26,134 (12,410 Union and 13,724 Confederate (That would be in less than 12 hours!)
Battle of Gettysburg
Date: July 1-3, 1863
Casualties: 51,112 (23,049 Union and 28,063 Confederate)

53,402 in WWI (Note: that would be 1917-18)
Do I have to mention WWII, Korea, Viet-Nam? I didn't think so.
My point is as wars go this one is bloodless. And yes that's a good thing
